Instructional Systems Design (ISD)
I have taken part in Instructional Design since 1992. I have developed individual courses, and assisted in the development of entire programs within the military and higher education. I am proficient in using the Air Force ISD Model and the ADDIE ISD Model. I am very capable of develping lessons, courses, and programs. If you feel I can be of assistance, feel free to contact me. Website Development
In pursuit of learning how to created web sites, I will be trying many different things. For example, move your mouse over this section of the page to activate animation. If you really want to be dazzled, click your mouse in some of the sections of this site for a different animation effect. The animations may change as I try different effects. What would really kick @$$ would be to have a random setting for the animation. If I manage to figure out how to do that, you will surely know because the effect will differ each time you move your mouse over this section. I actually have two websites. My goal is to continue developing my skills with the Xara Web Design software on this site. I will also learn how to use Adobe Muse and will publish that on my other site: jeffmarcum.net . If you visit that site today, you will be disappointed because I have done nothing more than publish a duplicate of this site just to ensure that domain is up and running through GoDaddy. Therefore, much of the information mirrors that found on this site.
eLearning Modules
I will eventually develop eLearning models using Adobe Captivate. My priority is to develop lessons for faculty onboarding and faculty development. I would eventually like to expand that to staff onboarding as well. Very long term goals include developing eLearning lessons to augment classroom learning for college students within my current organization. Click on the image to the left to enlarge the practice Captivate project I am playing with.
Technical Assistance
Although I have had no formal training, I have had an interest in computers since the Radio Shack days of the TRS- 80. I purchased my first PC in 1993 and was never intimidated by anything about it. I have always installed my own software and upgraded my own hardware. I would solve all problems on my own and have yet to take my personal computer to the Geek Squad or the like. I have been the go-to-guy for solving computer/network problems in my workplace since 1994. If you could use my services with technology feel free contact me by using the information on the Contact page. No wait, better yet, just search the internet for a solution to your problem like most people do.
